On 23 August 2021, a Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted on holding the International Pottery Forum and Fair to carefully preserve, revive, develop and widely promote pottery traditions at the international level that have been developing in the country since ancient times.

Starting from 2022, the International Pottery Forum and Fair will be held every two years in September.
