The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin within the framework of the International Conference on Regional Connectivity of Central and South Asia.

The fruitful results of the historic high-level visit to Tajikistan on June 11-12 this year, which served to strengthen friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, and filled them with concrete content, were highly appreciated.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin conveyed fraternal greetings and the kindest wishes of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the President of Uzbekistan.

Issues of promoting priority projects in various sectors of the economy, cultural and humanitarian exchange programs based on the adopted roadmap were discussed at the meeting.

The current regional agenda – the situation in the Afghan sector, preparation for the summits of the leaders of the countries of Central Asia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was considered.
