At the meeting with voters of Tashkent region, presidential candidate Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that with the reforms carried out in recent years, new life, new development comes to the cities and districts of the region, remote villages and mahallas.

Tashkent region was organized 80 years ago, but did not have its administrative center, which gave rise to serious problems in the integrated development of the territory, labor activity and a decent life for the population.

“And for this reason, with good intentions, the center of the region was named Nurafshon”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev says. – Along with other structures, we will build here a modern park of culture and recreation, a palace of arts, a history museum, a center for spirituality and enlightenment. The poet and translator, the progressive scientist Elbek, who was born in the village of Khumsan, said that “The salvation of the nation is in the school, the teacher”. The student of Avloni created many textbooks on the new method.

At the meeting, it was proposed to build a modern central regional library in Nurafshon and name it after Elbek to perpetuate the name of the devoted adherent of independence.

It was also noted that the time has come to organize a local TV and radio company in Tashkent region.
