There are about 3 million children of preschool age in Uzbekistan. It is also worth mentioning that in the recent past, the preschool enrollment rate fell to 27%. In recent years, the number of kindergartens has increased sixfold. The number of educators and teachers has also increased threefold and reached 160,000.

In the future the enrollment of young children in preschool education will reach 80%.

This has been stated by the Head of the state at the Second World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education in Tashkent.

The President also proposed to create an International Community of Educators.

This initiative was welcomed by the conference participants.
