President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on 6-7 March 2017 at the invitation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the visit, the Heads of state will discuss a wide array of issues of the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan relations, exchange views on critical problems on the regional and international agenda, representing a shared interest.

Following the negotiations at the highest level, a joint Declaration of the Heads of state, a treaty on strategic partnership as well as several bilateral documents, aimed at further development of cooperation in various spheres will be signed.
