Upon arrival in Islamabad, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the headquarters of Global Industrial and Defence Solutions, where he met with the Chief of the Army Staff of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Key aspects of the development of multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres, as well as to coordinating efforts to counter modern security challenges and threats.

The importance of intensifying cooperative ties between leading enterprises in the two countries’ defense industry complexes, expanding training programs for military specialists, exchanging experience, and conducting joint exercises was emphasized.

Issues related to accelerating the implementation of promising infrastructure projects in the transport and logistics sector were also discussed.

An agreement was reached to prepare a separate roadmap for the development of military and military-technical cooperation.

Following the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan became familiar with the developments of Global Industrial and Defence Solutions, including samples of modern Pakistani military equipment and weapons.
