President of Uzbekistan receives President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarciklioğlu.
On October 4, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarciklioğlu, who is in Uzbekistan on a working visit.
The Head of the state, welcoming the guest, noted with satisfaction that in recent years, friendship, partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey have risen to a new, better level.
It was emphasized that fruitful summit talks held within the framework of state visits in the fall of 2017 in Turkey and last spring in Uzbekistan laid a solid foundation for expanding constructive political dialogue and enhancing practical cooperation.
The importance of full-scale implementation of the arrangements reached and the agreements adopted, active promotion of joint projects in such areas as trade, innovation, energy, infrastructure development, transport, tourism, textile and food industries, and other sectors was emphasized.
At the meeting, Rifat Hisarciklioğlu expressed great gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Proof of the growing interest of Turkish business in entering the market of Uzbekistan and strengthening business ties is creation in recent years of more than 750 joint ventures, as well as the double growth of mutual trade.
Rifat Hisarciklioğlu emphasized that representatives of Turkish business circles – members of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey are ready to actively participate in implementation of priority projects and intend to discuss these issues with Uzbek partners during the upcoming meeting of the Business Council and Investment Forum of Turkic-speaking countries in Tashkent.
Following the meeting, the guest confirmed his readiness to promote the establishment of long-term business ties and promotion of practical cooperation in order to further strengthen Uzbekistan – Turkey friendship and strategic partnership.
