The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, accompanied by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Independence Square.

The distinguished guest laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism.

The President of Turkmenistan was informed about the essence of Independence Square. Then, the delegation of Turkmenistan has left for the residence allocated for them.

The main events of the visit will take place on October 5 at Kuksaroy Residence.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will discuss issues of enhancing and strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the two countries.

The main attention will be paid to further building up economic interaction, primarily in trade, transport and transit, energy, promoting cooperation projects in industry, agriculture and water management, enhancing contacts between the regions of the two countries, implementing joint programs of cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The Leaders will also exchange views on the current issues of international politics and regional cooperation.

It is planned to hold several bilateral events, including the Economic Forum.
