Hokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Soliyev met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the delegation, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

At the meeting in the Hokimiyat of Jizzakh region, a high level of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan was noted. Priority areas for the development of investment, trade and economic cooperation were discussed. Views were exchanged on the implementation of joint projects and cooperation with Jizzakh region in the automotive, energy, chemical industry, metallurgy, and agriculture. A proposal was put forward to organize an industrial park on the territory of “Jizzakh” FEZ, which is similar to the Chemical Industrial Technopark “Chirchiq”, together with Tatarstan’s Khimgrad technopolis.

Delegation members got acquainted with the activities of the IT Park branch in Jizzakh region and the Presidential School in Jizzakh.
