At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Uzbekistan on 15 November for a working visit to participate as an honored guest in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.

At Tashkent-Humo International Airport, the distinguished guest was welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and other officials.

On 15-16 November, the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The summit agenda includes strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia, as well as the implementation of joint projects and initiatives in priority areas. Views will be exchanged on current regional and international issues.
