On January 11, talks were held between the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and the President of Tatarstan (Russia) Rustam Minnikhanov, via video conference.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, heads of relevant ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, agencies and large companies of Tatarstan, also took part in the talks.

During the negotiations, the progress in the implementation of joint projects within the framework of interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia was discussed.

Following the discussion, the responsible leaders were instructed to take specific measures to resolve the issues identified and accelerate the implementation of the relevant projects.

The parties agreed to organize the visit of the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and large companies to the regions of Uzbekistan for conducting targeted negotiations to strengthen the partnership and agree on all aspects of practical cooperation.
