Tashkent hosts World Judo Championships among professionals and amateurs.

Heads of several international sports organizations arrived in Uzbekistan on this occasion. The delegations include the President of the International Judo Federation Marius Wieser, the Head of the Japanese Olympic Committee and President of the Japan Judo Federation Yasuhiro Yamashita. The President of the Mongolian Judo Federation Battulga Khaltmaa has arrived today. The President of the World Taekwondo Federation Chungwon Choue, the International Olympic Committee Sports Director Kit McConnell and others are also expected to arrive in Uzbekistan.
