On November 9, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and other officials met the high-ranking guest at Tashkent International Airport.

As previously reported, the President of Uzbekistan visited this country on 7-9 June 2023 at the invitation of the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella.

The President of Uzbekistan in Rome held fruitful talks with the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. During the talks, an additional declaration was adopted on establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries.

In recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy has intensified in politics, security, economics, energy, cultural and humanitarian areas. As a result, Italy has become one of Uzbekistan’s important and reliable partners in Europe.

During the visit, high-level talks will take place.

The agenda includes issues of further developing strategic partnership and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy in priority areas.
