At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on 15 July 2021, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials met the distinguished guest at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

After the welcoming ceremony, the delegation of Afghanistan left for the residence allocated for it.

As previously reported, the President of Afghanistan will attend the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” to be held in Tashkent.
