President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited one of the platoons of the Border Troops of the State Security Service in Surkhandarya region.

The Head of state became familiar with conditions in the administrative building of the outpost, inspected military equipment and weapons used by border guards. The importance of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the protection of the State Border was noted.

The President became familiar with measures on protecting the Uzbekistan – Afghanistan border.

In Uzbekistan, along with increasing the combat readiness of troops, much attention is paid to the social protection of servicemen and their family members. Border guards' houses with landscaped territory have been erected near the platoon's base.

The Head of state visited one of the apartments, talked with family members of servicemen.

“Your role is enormous in ensuring that the defenders of the Motherland could fulfill their duties, the upbringing of children depends on you. You show great courage in helping your husbands. You are also defending the Motherland”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev told the military spouses.

There are playgrounds and sports grounds in the courtyard of the houses. A sewing workshop and a confectionery shop are organized. A bus service has been established to take children to school and kindergarten.
