On February 12, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent.
The President became acquainted with the activities of the Information Multimedia Center of the main department. The center is equipped with the most modern equipment, all conditions are created here for the preparation of operational reports on crimes and incidents, holding briefings and press conferences.
The Head of the state noted that such information centers should be created in every department, it is necessary to bring to the public the changes taking place in the system of internal affairs, to increase the vigilance of the population.
“Today, everyone uses phones, social networks. The time has passed when people are called to the department of internal affairs or wait until they write a statement on paper. Now it is necessary to create a software product that will connect the district and city administrations with the mahalla, provide a virtual dialogue with people. The entire system of internal affairs should work based on information technologies”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The President inspected the special technique and equipment available at Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs.
During the visit, the Museum of Glory of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent was opened. The Head of the state became acquainted with the exposition.
The exhibits of the museum tell about the stages of formation and development of the sphere of public security in different periods of history. The samples of uniforms, service weapons, means and special equipment that was in service with the personnel of the department in different years are collected here.
Separate stands are dedicated to veterans of internal affairs bodies, employees who died in the line of duty.
A new system of organizing work to ensure public order and safety of citizens, to counteract crime directly in mahallas, and to improve the activities of prevention inspectors in this direction was also presented.
