A presentation evening dedicated to Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was held in the capital of Germany’s federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The event, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany with the support of the East-West Economic Club (DRW Wirtschaftsclub Ost-West e.V.), was attended by tourism professionals, representatives of German business circles, public figures, and journalists.
During the event, information was presented on Uzbekistan’s rich tourism potential, the fundamental reforms implemented in recent years, and the practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the tourism sector.
In particular, Uzbekistan is strengthening its position on the global tourism map. Over the first ten months of the current year, more than 10 million foreign tourists visited the country. It was also noted that, among European countries, Germany ranks among the leading number of tourists to Uzbekistan.
In his welcoming remarks, Chairman of the Board of the DRW Ost-West e.V. Club, Rainer Biesgen, emphasized that since 2013, his organization has served as a bridge between company executives in Western and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Participants were shown video presentations showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. The opportunities for gastronomic tourism were demonstrated.
