China’s Beijing hosted the Second International Forum on “Democracy: Human Values”.
The Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center Eldor Tulyakov took part in the forum. He held talks with leaders and experts of several international organizations, and gave interviews to leading print media and TV channels in China.

At the event, organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, Mr. Tulyakov made a presentation aimed at familiarizing Chinese partners, international organizations and leading representatives of the media sphere with the constitutional reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan.
The main attention was paid to the fact that in recent years Uzbekistan has made great achievements in economic stability, human rights, justice, freedom of speech and belief, and social protection. Changes are fixed at the level of the Constitution so that not only we, but also our future generations could freely use these opportunities.

In turn, the participants of the event highly appreciated the changes and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, introduced by the people. In particular, it was noted that in addition to the responsibility of the media for the information they disseminate, a provision was introduced into the Constitution that guarantees the freedom of activity of state media, the exercise of their right to seek, receive, use and disseminate information.
