In honor of the 542nd anniversary of Uzbekistan’s great compatriot, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy, and the publishing house Sandro Teti Editore are holding presentations of Baburnama, translated into Italian. The preface to the book, published in a large print run, was written by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The ceremony, held at the historic Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, was attended by historians, Oriental scholars, public figures, and cultural representatives, who discussed Babur’s life and work and the significance of “Baburnama”.

It was noted that the publication of “Baburnama” in Italy is a significant milestone in strengthening the socio-cultural ties between the two countries.

Mr. Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, emphasized that under the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, New Uzbekistan is paying great attention to preserving and promoting cultural heritage. He expressed confidence that scientific and educational collaboration with Italian colleagues will continue to grow.

The scholarly and educational events dedicated to the memory of the great Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur left a deep and lasting impression on participants.
