On April 21 this year, Uzbekistan will host the Sixth Tashkent International Marathon.

The event program includes a classic marathon distance of 42 kilometers, a half marathon distance of 21 kilometers, and distances of 3 and 10 kilometers. Runners from more than 40 countries are expected to participate.

The organizers of the marathon are the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Sports of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent City Hokimiyat, the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Youth Agency, the Federation of Trade Unions, Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan.
