Preparations for the Grand Slam tournament discussed

Only a few days are left before the Judo Grand Slam tournament starts, providing essential ranking points for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The tournament will take place on March 1-3 at the Humo Arena sports complex.

Uzbekistan Judo Federation held a meeting dedicated to preparations for this prestigious tournament.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Head of Uzbekistan Judo Federation Azizjon Komilov.  The participants discussed issues of organizing high-level competitions and events within the framework of the tournament. Over 500 athletes from more than 70 countries will participate in the tournament.

During the discussions, issues related to the reception of foreign sports delegations, their accommodation, transportation, telecommunication systems, and maintaining public order on the territory of the sports complex where the tournament will be held, in hotels and gyms, as well as protecting the health of participants, were discussed.

Considering the importance of holding an international judo tournament in Uzbekistan to increase its prestige in the international arena, it was noted that it is necessary to be active in ensuring the implementation of tasks in each area.

At the meeting, information from responsible specialists was heard. Based on the opinions expressed, tasks that need to be completed were identified.
