Agricultural trade fairs have started their work in Andijon in the run-up to the New Year holiday.

Evergreen trees are being decorated in 15 public-event areas of the town of Andijon and all the town and district centres of the region, and agricultural trade fairs are being arranged there for the purpose of ensuring an abundance of food on people’s holiday tables.

Processing enterprises, small businesses, entities of private entrepreneurship and farms specializing in fishery, poultry and livestock raising in the region are taking part in these trade fairs with their products.

Good quality fruits and vegetables as well as melons produced by agricultural workers and more than 50 types of confectionery and food such as meat, eggs, milk and fish are being offered at low prices to people.

"The pre-holiday trade fairs create big conveniences for our people. Especially, we are glad that meat, eggs and main agricultural products are being sold there at prices lower than market prices and that these can be paid for with plastic cards. Such trade fairs not only create conveniences for people but also give them festive cheer,” says S.Olmasova, a labour veteran living in the town of Andijon.
