Practical workshop with participation of International Monetary Fund experts
Tashkent hosted a workshop on “Transparency in the fiscal sphere and state financial statistics”.
International Monetary Fund experts visit Uzbekistan. Along with participation in development of proposals for ensuring transparency in fiscal sphere of Uzbekistan, the experts of the fund also contribute to the improvement of knowledge and skills of young professionals.
At the workshop, held on April 1 in Tashkent on “Transparency in the fiscal sphere and state financial statistics”, experts of the International Monetary Fund familiarized students of the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan with international experience in the management of public funds.
As it was noted at the event, in the world experience, the objectives of fiscal policy include ensuring macroeconomic stability, effective allocation of limited financial resources, redistribution of resources in the economy. State fiscal policy is formed through the provision of services and goods that are not a share of the private sector, extra budgetary entities and operations, state-owned enterprises, and public-private partnerships.
Issues of ensuring transparency in the budgetary sphere, improving state financial management and reflecting extra budgetary accounts in state financial statistics were also discussed at the workshop.
