Termez Archaeological Museum hosts an exhibition “Surkhan Oasis – the civilization of Central Asian pottery art”.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, it was noted that robotics and computers will not replace the tangible and cultural heritage of our ancestors. Unique pottery of the second and first millennia BC is still admired by the entire world community.

“Our museum has 104 thousand archaeological finds from different periods. 14 thousand of them are clay products. We are demonstrating 46 of the most unique ancient jugs, kilns for burning pottery, vases. All pottery gives an idea of the ancient and rich history of the oasis, of the stages in the development of art”, says the Head of the Exhibition Department, Raykhona Nuraliyeva

A video shown at the event tells about the storage of pottery in the only museum fund in the region. Skilled Termez potters held a master class for the exhibition participants. The famous bakhshi Muhammad Eshboyev pleased everyone with dastans.
