Porsche Experience in Almaty: Sports, Tourism, and Culture
20:49 / 2025-09-16

Major transformations are taking place in the automotive industry of Central Asia. Recently, we witnessed another significant milestone in this field: the legendary brand Porsche, renowned for its rich heritage and modern innovations in the global automotive industry, has for the first time launched the international Porsche Experience program in the region.

The event took place in Kazakhstan with the support of Orbis Auto and the Porsche Central and Eastern Europe team.

The first season brought together more than 130 participants from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, France, Azerbaijan, Romania, and other countries. They not only tested the iconic Porsche sports cars on the track but also became acquainted with elements of national cultural heritage.

The main venue of the project was the modernized track of the Sokol sports and technical complex, stretching for about 4.5 km. The circuit features 13 turns and a straight section that allows speeds of over 250 km/h. Such infrastructure created ideal conditions for unlocking the potential of Porsche cars.

Training sessions on the track were conducted under the guidance of certified international instructors.

After the exercises, a convoy of 14 Porsche cars headed to the Charyn Canyon. Over nearly 200 km, participants enjoyed driving the sports cars while also becoming familiar with the region’s traditions. After lunch in a specially prepared campsite, they continued their friendly gathering in a yurt located in the Moon Canyon.

“Porsche Experience Kazakhstan is not just about speed and emotions, but also a new stage in the development of automotive culture in the country”, said Gauhar Gabdrakhimova, Director of Porsche Kazakhstan. “Here, modern sports standards are harmoniously combined with the tourism potential of the region”.

The global Porsche Experience program has already been implemented in many parts of the world – in the Alps, on German racetracks, along the Mediterranean coast, and on the ice tracks of Scandinavia. The debut in Kazakhstan means that Central Asia has now joined this list.

Porsche Experience Kazakhstan is much more than just a test drive. It is a large-scale project that brings together automotive culture and tourism. It opens up new horizons not only for Kazakhstan but also for the entire region, including Uzbekistan. The brand’s entry into our market and the upcoming opening of a dealership in Tashkent will delight car enthusiasts and create new opportunities in tourism and services.
