In Vobkent District of Bukhara Region, children’s health improvement camp “Porloq kelajak (bright future)” has been put into use.

At an event held on this occasion, it was said that under the leadership of the country’s President, special attention was paid to bringing up the younger generation to develop harmoniously.

The systemic and effective organization of children’s summer holidays is of important significance here.

In the large-scale creative work carried out at the “Porloq kelajak” camp, the local branch of the Ozpakhtasanoat joint-stock company, Bukhoropakhtasanoat, processing enterprises, the Bukhara oil processing plant, the Bukhrogazsanoatquilish and Bukhoroneftgazqurilishtamir joint stock companies and the Bobkentmakhsusqurilish LLC actively participated.

In the camp located in an area of 10 hectares, an amphitheatre for 350 people, a futsal field, a basketball court, a swimming pool, a spirituality centre, four hostels for 200 people and a canteen have been built. Modern attractions have been set up. A 22 metre historical hill located in the camp’s area is kept as it is, and at the same time it has become a kind of a logo for the camp. During this holiday season, about 800 boys and girls will stay at the camp.

Children who came from various districts of the region are enjoying their holidays here now.

“Here we not only develop physically but also participate in the work of computer literacy, visual and applied arts, dance, chess and checkers clubs. There are many books in its library. Children’s films are shown in the amphitheatre every evening,” says Sakina Rustamova, a seventh grade pupil of general education school No 2 in Bukhara.

The opening ceremony of the camp concluded with a colourful holiday show and songs about the Motherland, peace, happy childhood and lively dances.

The hokim (governor) of Bukhara Region, U.Barnoyev, made a speech at the event.
