A bridge connecting Izbaskan and Pakhtaabad districts is being built over the Tentaksay river in Andijan.

Tentaksay is a small river with a high risk of mudflow. Quite often, it goes out of the channel and damages homes of residents and sown areas. The bridge connecting Izbaskan and Pakhtaabad districts became unusable. As a result of a strong debris flow that occurred several decades ago, the bridge almost collapsed. The reconstruction of this bridge, which could facilitate the movement of almost 500 thousand residents, was postponed due to the carelessness of some leaders and lack of funds.

The appeal of the resident of Anorzor makhalla of Izbaskan district H.Orifjonov and a group of local residents about the construction of a new bridge was registered by the Public Reception Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Izbaskan district and sent to the appropriate higher authorities for decision. Finally, after studying by the competent authorities, 5.6 billion soums were allocated from the budget for reconstruction of the bridge.

Last February, Andijan Unitary Enterprise for the Operation of Bridges began construction activities. Now the facility employs qualified specialists, using the necessary technical means. To date, fifty 20-meter reinforced concrete piles have been installed, 21 blocks have been laid, and engineering work has been completed.

Representatives of the regional and district khokimiyats, the Public Reception Office are constantly monitoring the ongoing construction activities. Problems arising in the construction process are being solved. All necessary conditions are created for the effective work of builders.

The completion and commissioning of the bridge is expected this year on the eve of Navruz holiday.
