Polling stations are ready

On October 27, elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local Councils will be held in Uzbekistan.

In Khatyrchi district, 7 regional, 25 district districts, and 69 polling stations have been prepared for the elections. The premises are equipped in accordance with the law. Booths, stationary, and portable ballot boxes have been installed. In addition to the necessary equipment – a computer, a fax – relevant literature, information on electoral legislation, and propaganda tools on the rights and responsibilities of voters are posted.

“We are actively preparing for the election process”, says a member of the election commission, Gulnoz Yarmatova. “There are 1,800 voters in our district, of which 45 young people will vote for the first time. A list of voters has been compiled. Members of the commission are also studying the changes in the electoral legislation”.

There are 124,922 voters in the district. Of the 69 polling stations, 56 are in secondary schools, five are in professional colleges and mahallas, one is in a medical institution, and two are in cultural and sports centers.
