Polina Kudermetova, a member of the Uzbekistan national team, has taken a step toward victory at the WTA 125 International Tennis Tournament in Manila, Philippines.

In the first round of the tournament with a prize pool of $115 thousand, Polina defeated the Japanese tennis player Miho Kuramochi with a score of 6:3, 7:5. In the next round, she will take the court against Lanlana Tararudee from Thailand.

Earlier, Kudermetova advanced to the second stage of the Australian Open’s main draw, which is included in the Grand Slam tournament series.
