Interest in working on the postal market of Uzbekistan was expressed by one of the leading companies in Poland in this field, Świat Przesyłek (Parcels World).
This was announced at a meeting in Tashkent between the Świat Przesyłek CEO Piotr Kocoń and the Director-General of JSC O'zbekiston Pochtasi Alisher Fayzullayev. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Bakhrom Babayev.
The parties discussed the issue of investing in the opening of a representative office of the company in Uzbekistan. In particular, Piotr Kocoń expressed his readiness to invest in the opening of a network of express parcels in Uzbekistan, as well as in the development of the postal sector and courier services, including the maintenance of online stores.
At the meeting, a presentation of the activities of the Polish company took place. The parties agreed to maintain constant communication and organize a visit of Uzbekistan specialists to Poland to familiarize and study the activities of the country’s postal services.
Following the exchange of views on this issue, the leadership of the Uzbekistan postal agency fully supported the initiative of the Polish company to open a representative office in Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to exchange relevant documentation and continue to work on the introduction of advanced technologies of the Świat Przesyłek into the postal service of Uzbekistan.
