Director of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Rakhmatov met with Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Alexey Sitnikov and the Director of Endowment Fund at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Andrey Shket.

According to the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Initiative “Point of Attraction” was discussed at the meeting. It provides for creating centers for developing advanced knowledge abroad to train engineering personnel with a high level of competence. These programs are expected to include theoretical and practical training based on modern technological laboratories and equipment. Demonstration and implementation of advanced technologies and training of researchers and specialists are proposed to be carried out through this platform.

The meeting allowed to more deeply understand the potential of the “Point of Attraction” project and develop specific steps for its implementation, in connection with which a joint working group was created. It is expected that the implementation of this project will become an essential tool for strengthening bilateral cooperation in science, education, and technology.
