The ancient and eternally young city of Margilan, located on the Great Silk Road, is famous not only for its folk crafts, but also for its historical monuments and shrines.
Large-scale work is being carried out here to study and protect cultural heritage sites. Thus, the archaeological and architectural monuments of Fergana region, revered by our people for many centuries, have been revived. Most of them have been extensively restored. They have turned into sacred places of worship, well-arranged in all respects, where not only our compatriots, but also guests from foreign countries can come and receive spiritual strength.

“42 cultural heritage sites are under state protection in the city of Margilan”, says the head of the Regional Department for Cultural Heritage Mirzarahmon Gofurov. – All objects have been registered, a database has been created for each of them. Repairs and restoration of holy places of worship and pilgrimage are being carried out to further develop tourism. This year, at the expense of the republican budget, it is planned to restore 4 objects.
In 2000, the Burhoniddin al-Marginoni complex was built in the ancient city. This became an example of high respect for our great scientists.

The Pursiddik complex is also one of the oldest sacred places in Margilan. It is also known as Kaptarlimozor and has become a sacred place of pilgrimage for our compatriots.

Cultural heritage sites are the unique pearls of our people, and we must preserve them and bring them to future generations. There is still a lot of work to be done in the ancient city to preserve and study historical and cultural monuments.
