A delegation led by the Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region Rustam Kabilov met with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

The parties reached several important agreements. It was also announced that the delegation of Indonesia will take part in the international conference of creative economy and tourism, which is planned to be held in Uzbekistan in 2024. A discussion was held on organizing special pilgrimage tours for Indonesian tourists.

The issues of establishing an exchange of students and experts, allocating a grant for youth at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and preparing a performance about the visit of the First President of Indonesia Sukarno to Samarkand were considered at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of Indonesia.
