The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan pays special attention to the wide promotion of the country’s tourism potential in Turkic-speaking countries and to increase the flow of tourists from there.

An excursion to Zaamin district was organized for photographers working in prestigious publications of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

“We have tried to create all the opportunities for the preparation of media materials by qualified photographers, aimed at familiarizing the population of the TURKSOY member countries with the tourism and cultural potential of the region. During the media tour, the delegation members got acquainted with the process of cooking the Zaamin tandoor kebab, the famous Qazan-patyr, and other local dishes, as well as the creation of handicrafts by artisans. All this was filmed. Members of the delegation emphasized the uniqueness of all these processes, which reflect the national flavor, the life history of the ancient Turkic peoples”, says D. Kholmirzayeva, Press Secretary of the Regional Department of Culture and Tourism.

The tourist sites of Zaamin, episodes of the performance of ancient Lapars, songs, dances, and rituals, and artistic performances reflecting the ethnographic traditions and customs of the residents of the region, performed by the folklore-ethnographic ensemble “Zomin Sayqali” were captured on film.

The guests studied the activities of the Zaamin National Natural Park and modern hotels in Zaamin district. The unique nature and majestic mountains, dense spruce forests, and merrily murmuring crystal-clear water in the river left a wonderful impression. Tourists took pictures of the beauty of the Zaamin National Natural Park. And the summer rain, which suddenly began during the excursion, became an unexpected cool gift from mother nature and added hot moments to the photographers’ work.

International photographers from the TURKSOY member countries acknowledged that this media trip made a great impression, and they will regularly present this high-quality content at various exhibitions, in prestigious print publications, and on the Internet.
