Photo exhibition in Saint Petersburg
National Library of Russia in Saint Petersburg held a solemn opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “The memory of people is sacred”, dedicated to the memory of our compatriots, people of Uzbekistan and Leningrad who were evacuated to Uzbekistan during the war.
National Library of Russia in Saint Petersburg held a solemn opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “The memory of people is sacred”, dedicated to the memory of our compatriots, people of Uzbekistan and Leningrad who were evacuated to Uzbekistan during the war.
The photo exhibition was organized with participation of Uzarchive Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which presented its materials.
The event was attended by representatives of the Committee for Culture of Saint Petersburg, the National Library, Uzbek national diaspora in Saint Petersburg, employees of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Saint Petersburg, as well as representatives of the general public and the mass media.
According to the Center for Public Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Uzbekfilm fund’s film “You are not an orphan”, shot in 1962 by director Shukhrat Abbasov, was shown at the photo exhibition.
