At a press conference organized by the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Director of the Agency for Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Sardor Koriyev shared his views on tasks outlined in the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for deepening reforms in the pharmaceutical industry” of December 30, 2019.

In accordance with the resolution, from July 1, 2020, a system of reference pricing for medicines of domestic and foreign production will be introduced in stages. In accordance with this, the import of medicines into Uzbekistan by foreign enterprises and the sale by domestic manufacturers will be carried out without exceeding the established prices.
