The Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a press conference, organized by the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.

In 2020, 30 projects worth $144.4 million were implemented in the pharmaceutical industry, 1,625 people were employed, and 24 new enterprises were granted licenses for the production of medicines and medical devices. Pharmaceutical products worth 2.47 trillion UZS were produced, and production increased by 9.3 percent compared to 2019.

49 projects worth $445.6 million are being implemented within the framework of the established cooperation with China, Russia, the United States, Belarus, Egypt, Germany, Kazakhstan, South Korea, India, and Japan.
