Tashkent hosted a plenum of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.
The participants of the event discussed the issues of the party’s participation in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the nomination of a candidate.
The party electorate, supporters and activists recommended Maqsuda Azizovna Vorisova. A decision was made to submit to the Central Election Commission all the necessary information about the candidate nominated by the party. Based on the Electoral Code, the Central Election Commission must consider the submitted documents within five days and, if the application is satisfied, issue a registration certificate and signature forms of the established form.
The issue concerning the approval of the new symbol of the party was also considered. The working group presented information on the activities carried out to create a new political symbol of the party and update the logo. Almost 30 proposals were received from specialists, experts, activists and veterans of the party to change the symbols of the party.
The new logo of the People’s Democratic Party has the shape of a parallelogram, in the center of which is the inscription “XDP”, using purple and white colors. Purple is a symbol of love, friendship, generosity, support of interests, and white is the color of peace and tranquility, social stability and solidarity.
The new symbols of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan were adopted.
