XI traditional festival of Uzbekistan’s puppet theatres, devoted to the 27th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence kicks off in Tashkent.
XI traditional festival of Uzbekistan’s puppet theatres, devoted to the 27th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence kicks off in Tashkent.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Union of theatre workers involved creative teams from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent with their best performances.
First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan O. Nazarbekov, Chairman of the Union of theatre workers Y. Akhmedov noted that the attention paid by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to further development of national culture, encourages creative workers to work even more with a great responsibility.
The main purpose of the festival is to promote creation of stage plays glorifying Motherland’s independence, national values that serve to strengthen young audience's feelings of patriotism, hardworking and justice. The event also plays an important role in exchanging experience between creative teams.
The festival will last until July 13.
