Participants of the Second World War to be provided with material and moral support

The Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a briefing with the participation of the head of the Information Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan Otabek Yuldashev.

It was noted that to date, to provide material and moral support to 236 veterans and disabled of the Second World War, the heads of relevant ministries, agencies, and other organizations, as well as the heads of military units and institutions, have developed a special plan for organizing festive meetings visiting people of this category.

Specialists emphasize that on the occasion of May 9 – Day of Remembrance and Honor, to encourage the participants of the Second World War, each veteran was given a one-time cash prize for 15 million UZS, a statuette of the Independence Monument in the New Uzbekistan complex, as well as gifts allocated by ministries, agencies and hokimiyats.

Within the framework of events organized under the motto “Their courage and bravery will forever remain in our memory”, the houses of lonely and low-income participants of the Second World War are being repaired, work is being carried out to improve household plots. Along with this, patronage services are involved to provide medical and social assistance to each participant and disabled of the war.
