On 25-29 March, Uzbekistan Football Association will hold an international friendly tournament “Navruz Cup 2022” in Namangan region as part of the FIFA Days. Along with Uzbekistan national team, the teams of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uganda will also take part in the tournament.

Delegations of national teams arrived in the valley to take part in the tournament of representatives of Central Asia and Africa. Members of the national team of neighboring Tajikistan were among the first to arrive in Namangan through the border checkpoint. The players of the national teams of Uganda, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as members of the coaching staff also arrived in the country.

The guests were solemnly welcomed by the organizers of the tournament at Namangan International Airport. The Hokimiyat of Namangan region and Uzbekistan Football Association have carried out thorough preparations for organizing and holding the tournament at a high level. National teams are already training.

The teams will first play in the semi-finals. On March 25, Uganda will play a match with Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will play with Kyrgyzstan.

The head coach Srečko Katanec invited 25 players to participate in this tournament in Uzbekistan national team, leading their activities in Super League meetings and as part of foreign clubs.
