On November 22-23, Samarkand will host an international forum on “The experience of Uzbekistan and member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in supporting women”.

It is expected that the forum will be attended by members of the government, heads of ministries, and agencies of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Forum participants are arriving in Samarkand. In particular, representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and guests from Qatar and Malaysia were met by the leaders of the Committee on Religious Affairs and the Committee on Family and Women.

The main events of the forum will take place on November 22. It is planned to discuss issues of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of women, expanding their participation in the adoption of laws, ensuring gender equality, improving the education they receive, supporting their innovative projects and broad involvement in the IT sector, mechanisms for studying and systematically solving social problems of women, preserving family values and strengthening the institution of family in the process of globalization and others.
