Parliament takes control over the State Program execution

The tasks arising from the State Program for implementation of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the Year of Active Investments and Social Development were discussed in detail.
It was noted that about 10 out of 50 proposals submitted by members of the faction on the State Program were accepted. In particular, these are proposals aimed at developing the social sphere, enhancing social protection of the population, ensuring its employment, further improving the wage system, supporting people with disabilities.
Participants of the meeting noted that objectives of the State Program on strengthening social support for women and youth, improving the living conditions of the population, providing them with housing, establishing a healthy lifestyle in society, further promotion of physical culture and sports require new approach and initiative from party organizations at all levels, deputy corps and party activists.
Members of the faction noted the need for strengthening public and parliamentary control over the creation of favorable conditions for attracting investment, as well as ensuring effective and timely implementation of measures for social development of the country’s regions. To do this, each deputy must work with a sense of responsibility for the execution of the program.
Following the meeting, decision of the faction on the discussed issues was taken.
