On the eve of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France, Paris hosted Uzbekistan – France Business Forum.

The event was aimed at strengthening the bilateral partnership between the businesspeople of the two countries as the main factor for further enhancing investment and trade-economic cooperation. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev, Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, Chairman of Uzbekistan – France Business Council Olivier Becht, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orano Claude Imauven, heads of relevant ministries, agencies, industry associations, as well as over 150 employees of leading companies, and holdings of the two countries.

The transformations being implemented in Uzbekistan in improving the investment environment in the country, developing infrastructure, establishing and enhancing regional and international trade-economic relations, and developing industrial cooperation were highly appreciated at the event.

The parties expressed readiness to fully support French entrepreneurs in such priority sectors as the implementation of joint projects, including green energy, the pharmaceutical industry, the automotive industry, the production of components and food.

G2B and B2B meetings were organized between the heads of ministries, agencies, leading companies, and holdings of Uzbekistan and France. The participants considered in detail the financial-technical aspects of creating joint ventures and concluding mutually beneficial trade agreements.
