As previously reported, the sports delegation of Uzbekistan, which will take part in the Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo, departed for Japan on August 20.

According to the Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, at the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games, which will be held on August 24, Uzbekistan’s athletes Muhammad Rekhsimov and Nurkhon Kurbonova were appointed flagbearers of the sports delegation of the country.

48 athletes will defend the honor of the country at the Summer Paralympic Games. They will have to compete for 55 sets of medals in eight sports. We wish good luck to Uzbekistan Paralympians!
