Tashkent hosted the opening ceremony of Uzbekistan – Germany joint venture Papenburg Uzbekistan for the production of asphalt concrete mixtures.
The conference, held within the framework of the 6th meeting of Uzbekistan – Germany Business Council, was attended by representatives of the government, heads of responsible ministries and agencies, the Chairman of the Board of the Gunter Papenburg company and representatives of the German business community.
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov noted that the opening of the joint venture Papenburg Uzbekistan for the production of asphalt concrete mixtures is a vivid reflection of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, which is becoming consistent today.
This year, it is planned to carry out a cement-concrete coating of 2,600 kilometers, and from next year – 5,000 kilometers of internal roads.
In addition, funds from international financial institutions have been attracted, and investment projects totaling $1 billion have been launched in road construction.
The production capacity of the plant is 200-240 tons of products per hour. It is also planned to train Uzbekistan specialists in Germany to work with new technologies.
