Pakistan’s experience with agricultural technologies is studied
19:52 / 2026-02-23

On February 19-20, the Uzbekistan delegation, led by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhobov, visited Pakistan to study best practices in the agro-industrial sector. The visit, organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, covered Lahore and Okara, key centers of the country’s meat and potato production.

The delegation included representatives of the banking, agricultural, veterinary, and quarantine services sectors. The main purpose of the trip is to study advanced technologies and standards for meat and potato production, and to assess their subsequent implementation in Uzbekistan.

As part of the program, the delegation held meetings with the leadership of Pakistan’s Zenith, Tazij Meats, Abedin International, Anis Associates, Go Food, and Quality Meat, specializing in the production and export of meat products.

The parties discussed the prospects of joint livestock farming, the creation of modern meat storage facilities and distribution centers, and supply and transport logistics.

Following negotiations, agreements were reached on preparing commercial proposals to develop animal husbandry and increase meat production in Uzbekistan.

On the second day of the visit, the delegation members became familiar with the activities of leading potato-growing and exporting companies, including Chase International, FFF Traders, Al Khas Trading, Jamshaid Traders, and Madina Enterprises. It was decided to expand cooperation, exchange advanced agricultural technologies, and implement joint projects to increase the volume and quality of potatoes in Uzbekistan.

The agreements provide a basis for implementing Pakistan’s best practices, attracting investment, and strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
