Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov arrived in Moscow, where he held talks with Sergei Belyakov, the Managing Director of the Russian marketplace Ozon. They discussed the development of e-commerce in Uzbekistan and the promotion of Uzbek manufacturers’ products in the Russian market.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Vakhabov proposed inviting marketplace representatives to Uzbekistan to familiarize themselves with the work of local enterprises and attract new partners. At the meeting, the parties also considered issues of training entrepreneurs together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The parties agreed to open “Made in Uzbekistan” showrooms. With their help, the promotion of building materials, electrical engineering, and textile products on the Russian market is planned.

Since November 2023, Ozon has launched direct sales of goods in Uzbekistan. The order can be placed from any region and received at a partner delivery point or Uzpost branch. The average delivery time for goods is estimated at 12 days.
