A regular meeting of the 7th Samarkand District Election Commission for elections for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.
At the meeting, chaired by the Chairman of the Commission H. Muhammadiyev, the issue of granting an observer’s mandate to representatives of political parties and civil society institutions to monitor the voting at polling stations was considered.

Based on the appeals of the regional organizations of political parties and the governing body of citizens’ assemblies of mahallas of the region, the district election commission granted an observer mandate to representatives of parties and citizens’ assemblies of mahallas to monitor the voting process at 1112 polling stations in the region.

Citizens exercised their right to vote early at polling stations during the five-day holidays and additional days off announced on Eid al-Adha. During these days, 50 thousand voters of the region voted early. The role of the media is vital in ensuring open and transparent elections. All election-related processes are organized openly and transparently for journalists. Media workers accredited by the Central Electoral Commission are actively covering the events of the election campaign. More than 120 media representatives of the region have already been accredited.
