Tashkent hosted the “Heritage for the Future” award ceremony.
12 academicians, 9 doctors of science and 7 candidates of science, over 20 specialists of museums and libraries, 7 directors of house-museums, as well as 15 media representatives became laureates.
The World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan established a special award “Heritage for the Future”, which was awarded to outstanding representatives of science and culture of the country. The awards were set of book albums of the series “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World”.

Scientists, orientalists, workers of museums, libraries and house-museums, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, art critics, artisans, artists, as well as media representatives and the country’s creative intelligentsia, are recognized as laureates of the award.
– The “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World” project is a visiting card of New Uzbekistan. President of the country Shavkat Mirziyoyev has elevated the careful preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan to the rank of state policy, and our project, which has published 50 book albums and united 300 scientists from all over the world, is a striking result of this work, – the Chairman of the Board of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov said.

– In this regard, I would like to thank the Government of Uzbekistan for providing grants, the opportunity to donate to museums and educational institutions books from the series “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World”.
These days, summing up the results of the year, I would like to express my gratitude to the co-organizer of the project – the oilfield service company Eriell Group and its head Bakhtiyor Fozilov for their support over five years.

We wish you to receive even more significant awards for your hard work, – the Hero of Uzbekistan, an outstanding translator and writer Ibrahim Gafurov congratulated the laureates of the award.

The President of Uzbekistan spoke about this several times. We must know our historical roots to lay the foundation for the future. It is the representatives of art and science who are present here today who make a great contribution to this noble cause. We are grateful to you for your colossal work in the name of the present and the future, the development of the culture of our people.
– The annual events that are held within the framework of the Cultural Heritage Week help to popularize our national cultural heritage and traditions, which are of great importance not only in our country, but also on the world stage. Such projects are admired abroad, – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov said.
According to the Scientific Director of the project “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World” Edward Rtveladze, this project was organized five years ago, and today there are 50 volumes – a real work of many scientists who put their knowledge, experience, efforts and soul into the study, preservation and popularization of the culture and science of the country.
– I am glad that for the first time the project “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World” gathered and paid attention to artists, academicians of the Academy of Arts. It is very honorable and pleasant, – says the Academician of the Academy of Arts, Ph.D. in History of Art Akhmedova Nigora. – An artist lives his own special life, and such attention is a great event for him. Album books are a truly royal gift for all of us!
More than 100 beneficiaries were awarded at the event. The traditional ceremony of presenting album books of the series “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World” to libraries of state and public organizations took place. It should be noted that in November this year, the organizers of the campaign handed out over 10 thousand album books to libraries and educational institutions.
The prize was awarded in 7 nominations – “For contribution to the development of culture, promotion and support of ideas for the preservation, study and popularization of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan”, “For the contribution to the study of historical science, archeology and art history of Uzbekistan”, “For the preservation and study of the manuscript heritage of Uzbekistan, epigraphic architectural inscriptions”, “The Artist and Time”, “Authors of album books of the series “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan”, “For a series of documentaries dedicated to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan”, “For the popularization of science and culture of Uzbekistan”.
